Note that Fill page may alter the aspect ratio of your image. If you want the figure resized to fill the paper, click Fill page. To set the margins of the figure (offsets from the left and top edges of the paper), drag the entire "Sample" figure to a new position with the mouse. To set the width and height interactively, use the mouse to drag the edges of the "Sample" figure to the desired size. Use the "Sample" figure at the right of the dialog box to move and resize your MATLAB figure interactively. Enter the measurements and units for the size and position of the figure.

The next two panels are enabled only when you select the Use manual size and position mode. Choose whether you want the figure to be the same size as it is displayed on your screen, or you want to manually change its size using the options in the Size and Position window. Settings you can change in the Size and Position window are as follows: Or use the graphical user interface at the right to drag the borders and location of the "sample" figure with your mouse. Use the text edit boxes on the left to enter new dimensions for your figure.

Click the Size and Position tab to make changes to the size and position of your figure on the printed page. Select Page Setup from the figure window's File menu to open the Page Setup dialog box.

You can change the size and position of the figure: The figure's default position is centered both horizontally and vertically when printed to a paper size of 8.5-by-11 inches.
